The Cellular Jail declared a national memorial was constructed by Britishers in 1906. Cellular Jail has mutely witnessed the most inhumane atrocities borne by the convicts, who were mostly freedom fighters. Later in the day visit Corbyn’s Cove beach. The day draws to a gentle close with the Sound and Light Show at the Cellular Jail which gives you a vivid experience of its strong association with the freedom fighters and their struggle for independence. Overnight stay in Port Blair.
Day 2: SwarajDweep (Havelock Island), Radhanagar Beach
Visit Radhanagar beach. This blue flag-certified white sand beach is the best place for swimming as there are no rocks on the coast and the waves are not too high. Although Havelock is the most developed of the islands, it’s still very low-key and simple – a world away from the busy life of mainland India. Overnight stay in Havelock.
Note: In case of morning cruise departures, please carry a packed breakfast
Day 3: Visit Kala Pathar Beach
Kala Patthar beach is located at the far end of Havelock Island. Away from the settlement, this beach is famous for its white sand and serene beauty. Ideal for photography and a long walk along the coastline. No mobile network ensures you are away from the cyber world and day-to-day worries. The best time to visit the beach is early morning for a stunning sunrise view. It is recommended to hire a professional photographer for some amazing photography on the beach & take home the best memories. Overnight stay in Havelock.
Note: Photographers are available in Havelock & can be booked in advance.
