Scuba Diving in North Bay Island
Scuba diving is diving under water with the help of an underwater breathing apparatus (scuba), which is completely independent of surface supply, to breathe underwater. This activity is conducted under the supervision of a professional certified Dive master who accompanies every participant independently.
What you get to experience
As a participant of Introductory Scuba Diving programme you will get to dive under water in the coral reefs of North Bay Island with your Dive master. You will be required to wear the diving suite and all other equipment will be provided to you. The programme includes on shore training on safety and under water communication techniques.
While you dive under water our photographer will take your under-water photographs and small video clips for you to share in social media. The photographs and video clips will be instantly transferred to your smart phones.

Duration
The total duration of the activity is 90 minutes which involves under water diving for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

North Bay Island is a 20 minutes speed boat ride from Port Blair (Water Sports Complex). The boat tickets to North Bay can be booked online here.

Some FAQs about Discover Scuba Diving
Is it mandatory to know swimming?
No it is not. Even if you know swimming, you should not try to swim on your own while diving. Every participant is accompanied by a Dive Master who will hold you with your tank throughout the dive.
Is it safe ?
It is a very safe activity as all our divers are professionally trained and certified by PADI (Australia) and SSI.
Age limit
Any one above 10 years of age can do Scuba Diving.
Medical restrictions
You need to fill a medical declaration form declaring that you are medically fit to undergo Scuba Diving. Pregnant ladies and people with ear infection are not permitted to dive.
